Riding Lessons

10/1/07 - Isabelle is loving her riding lessons. She is very good at caring for the horse, doing the tack, or saddling the horse and putting all the gear on, I think that is called tack. Her riding is very good. Megan her instructor, had her doing some exercises that Isabelle had never done and she did it the first time. Her instructor said she never had a student do it the first time. I took some picture and short video slips during this last session. Unfortunately during this session she was trying a new exercise and lost her balance and fell of the horse. She was okay, just got the wind knocked out of her...thank God!

Jacob went to his first Dance. We are so proud of him. He said he had a great time.

Week 23 (10/1 - 10/7)

Second coat of stucco (brown coat) was applied, looks really good. Drywall was sprayed with preparation coat, and is ready for texture.

Worked on drainage pipes, a little drywall, insulation downstairs, clean up, landscape lighting pipes for the front, installed pipes under driveway.

We went an ordered our wood flooring. Hopefully we will make good progress in October.

Week 18 8/27 - 8/31

More of the same....moving slow.

Week 17 - 8/20 - 8/24

No pictures...Rough Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC are started. Moving very slowly, now begins the hard part of getting people to show up and finish.

Some things have kind of gone out of order and caused some issiues. Roof and gutters are on, but plumbing and air did not have the roof vents/jacks in. Gutters were installed, but down spouts can not be installed until after stucco. Gutters in front are to long because the front porch was not complete. The list goes on. Frustrating.

Week 14 & 15

8/1 - 8/8 - Keep forgetting to take pictures. Took a bunch last night. Roof is sheeted, fascia boards on and are primed and painted ready for gutters. Lots of details going on inside. Concrete was poured in the garage and the front porch...looks really good. Front porch will cure for a week and then will be sealed and finished and look really great. Windows & exterior doors were delivered yesterday and will be installed this week. Roofing and gutters should start this week. Fireplace delivery is delayed, plumbing rough-in, HVAC rough-in, and electrical rough-in should all start this week, hopefully they will all get here soon and get going.

Week 13 - It looks like a house!

Well we are back on track. The roof is getting sheeted, and it looks like a house now. A really big House!

Week 12

What do you know...after all the waiting, the truss company still did not get the measurements right and they are messed up. Back to waiting for trusses, while they make the correct ones. Another truss delay. I guess we did not take any pictures of the truss installation, or I can not find the pictures. Just the same it was pretty frustrating to see them go on and come off in spots to be corrected.

Week 11 - Trusses Arrive!

Woke up one morning to the sound of a crane delivering the trusses.
